A look of wisdom for the present time

“A old era, like a long, painful, and dark night, is passing away.
It is receding into the past of time to make way for a new era of a sunlit culture.
”

April 11, 2026 – Start with very simple things

Those who aspire to genuine spiritual accomplishment should not begin by venturing into the labyrinth of so-called occult sciences: magic, astrology, alchemy, the Kabbalah… I feel both anxious and indignant when I see the dangers that many authors, who try to popularize these sciences, expose their readers to—leading them, without any prior preparation, onto paths where they are sure to lose themselves.

<p”>True spirituality begins with mastery over one’s thoughts and feelings. This mastery allows for the realization of true silence—a silence that restores, lightens, soothes, and harmonizes. Several times a day, devote at least a few minutes to bringing silence within yourself. Close your eyes, strive to free your mind from everything that troubles or worries you, and direct it toward the heights, toward the sources of life that nourish the entire universe.

Several times a day, get into the habit of restoring silence within yourself. Even if you can devote only one or two minutes, that’s fine—do it. And whenever you feel disturbed or uneasy, do it again. Withdraw to a place where no one will see you, close your eyes for a few moments while isolating yourself in thought, and connect with the world of harmony and light. Then continue on your way…

In this way, little by little, you will learn to neutralize all negative currents. Whatever events may come, do not allow yourself to be overtaken by inner chaos and noise, for they prepare the ground for all psychological and physical disorders.

April 1, 2026 – To Commune

We must now give this act a broader and deeper meaning.

For communion is the very condition of life. Each day, at every meal, we can commune through food. All the elements we take in are imbued with the life of the Creator, and through the work of thought and consciousness, we will one day be able to draw from them the subtler elements that nourish all our subtle bodies as well.

To eat, to drink, but also to breathe, to walk, to look, to listen, to love, to work, and to seek constantly to connect with all living beings and the vital forces animating stones, plants, mountains, and springs—this too is to commune. Every act of daily life can become an opportunity for us to experience magnificent states of consciousness, which are forms of communion.

… The day we understand communion in its true dimension—its cosmic dimension—then truly we shall “eat the flesh of Christ and drink his blood.” In every region of our being, we will feel the circulation of abundant and pure currents of energy, and we will know that this is eternal life, which has neither beginning nor end.

March 28, 2026 – Through imagination, create like the sun (3)
By creating within ourselves an image that embraces all perfections, by nurturing it and strengthening it, little by little this image carves us, shapes us, penetrates us, and we become another being, better than before. Once a person has succeeded in forming this divine image of themselves, wherever they go this image beneficially influences all creatures—even animals, plants, and stones, all of nature—for rays, forces, and vibrations emanate from them that act favorably, bringing order, balance, and harmony everywhere.

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, Izvor n° 223, chap. X

Why not use imagination to rebuild ourselves, to be reborn, and to carry out a heavenly work for all of humanity? Why not imagine that all over the earth, humans become good, intelligent, honest, beautiful, and that abundance and joy reign everywhere! If you spend years imagining everything that is positive, it will come to pass. And if many people work in the same direction, the realization will come even more quickly. But it is difficult to unite human beings toward this goal: what one person wishes for, another destroys. Nothing good can thus be achieved; all the finest desires end in failure. That’s why we must be numerous and united in this work.

And if you do not yet see the realization of your good desires, do not be discouraged, do not be unhappy — keep faith and continue working. Isn’t it wonderful to know that everything you sincerely wish for, you will one day obtain? Just try always to wish for what is most beneficial for the whole world. Asking to become a musician, a poet, a physicist, or a minister — that’s good, but it’s still not the best. The highest wish is to want to transform yourself so as to enlighten, warm, and give life to all beings — there is nothing above that.

March 21, 2026 - Infinitely patient (2)
By focusing on the sun, you may say to yourself: it enlightens, it gives life, it grants a credit of vitality and warmth to all creatures without discrimination… to scoundrels and criminals just as to saints and righteous people! How can this be explained? Is it blind, does it not see crimes? Is it merely a mechanism without intelligence or discernment, to which goodness or wickedness, honesty or dishonesty, are of no concern?

No, the sun sees the faults and crimes of humans far better than anyone. But for it, in relation to the immensity of its light and warmth, these are tiny things. All that seems monstrous and terrible to us is small for it — the errors, the destruction, the stains… It erases, cleanses, repairs, and continues with unlimited patience to help humans until they reach perfection.

You are astonished and wonder what motivates such generosity? It is because the sun has a certain conception of humankind: it sees the eternity and immortality of the human soul, and it knows that humanity is still a green, harsh, hard, and sour fruit. So, since it knows so well how to ripen the fruits of trees—gradually filling them with sweetness and fragrance until they become delightful—it also wants to ripen humanity. And having understood that humans take longer to mature than fruit trees, it has decided to be patient.

It knows that by warming even a criminal long enough, he will one day grow so tired and disgusted with himself that he will yield to the sun’s beneficial influence… and become a lovable, delicate being — a benefactor, a poet, a musician, a prophet.
The sun knows causes and consequences, the beginning and the end; it knows the path of evolution, the purpose of its work, the aim of creation. It continues helping humans until they reach full maturity. Its patience, goodness, abundance, and strength are limitless.

March 17, 2026 - See into the invisible (1)
When the sun rises, it illuminates the mountains, the rivers, the trees… all things. It is thanks to its rays, to the light it projects, that objects become visible. Without these rays that strike them, we could not be aware of their existence. By meditating on this phenomenon, we can understand by analogy that if we want to perceive the realities of the invisible world—the thoughts, the feelings, the soul, and all the beings that swim through cosmic space—we must do as the sun does: project from within ourselves rays capable of illuminating those objects or beings; only then can we see them. Initiates, who have worked on this question, have studied the conditions, attitudes, and activities that allow humans to cause from within themselves a light similar to that of the sun.

Very few people have reflected on the fact that in order to see, one must project light. They do it automatically when they have to go into a cellar or a forest at night—they know they must take a candle or a flashlight. But they have not stopped to draw conclusions from this. Since it is the light rays which, meeting objects, make them visible, to see into the invisible world, one must become capable of projecting from oneself a light—a certain kind of light. Should we wait for those objects to be illuminated? No—they will not be. We must illuminate them ourselves!

In fact, all objects of the astral and mental planes emit light, but it is a radiation that cannot be perceived by physical eyes. Man must develop within himself new centers, light inner lamps, to project rays which, by falling upon the surface of objects or beings, will render them visible.

March 10, 2026 – Artisans of our own destiny
The one who amuses himself by throwing pieces of glass on a path, saying, “What does it matter? It’s others, not me, who will get hurt,” is mistaken, because the path a human being follows is not a straight line but a circle. One day, he will inevitably pass again where he scattered the dangers and will be the first to suffer their consequences.

If you dig holes and set traps along the road, the law will bring you back to that very place, and you’ll fall into those same holes and traps. Then you’ll have time to reflect on what is happening to you. You’ll complain that there are malicious and foolish people and try to find out who they are—of course, forgetting that it is you yourself!

The person who constantly lives by saying, “After me, the flood,” creates all the difficulties that will one day clutter his own existence.

2 March 2026 - It is a matter of choosing...
Human intelligence is placed at the boundary between the lower world and the upper world. Above stretches the divine world; below, the infernal world. Knowing this, the human being must understand that it depends on them whether the gates of heaven or the gates of hell are opened.

Yes, since through his intellect man is placed at the limit of both worlds, his importance in nature is incalculable. It is from him, from his attitude, that the unfolding of events depends — and whether it is hell or heaven that pours down upon the earth.

The human being is the gateway of solar forces on earth, just as the sun is the gateway of divine forces in the solar system. Humanity therefore has an immense role to play, reaching even into the universe.

February 20, 2026 – Subtle Exchanges
From the moment you fall in love with someone, you instinctively seek to get closer to them—and that’s natural; there’s nothing wrong with that.

Yet, if you’re able to analyze what happens at that moment in the realm of subtle emanations, you’ll understand that this closeness may not be what’s most favorable for your love. Why? Because the space that separates two beings—the space we believe to be empty—is actually filled with very delicate essences that are the best conductors of psychic energies. It is thanks to this space that exchanges can occur in harmony and light.

As long as a certain distance exists between you and the person you love, you have the opportunity to exchange these energies and, through them, to strengthen one another. After each meeting, you part feeling fulfilled, overwhelmed by an extraordinary happiness, because you’ve managed to preserve that distance which gives you the best conditions to continue communicating harmoniously with each other.

February 11, 2026 – The Soulmate
You know this, for each of you has never stopped believing that you will one day meet that beloved soul whose face you somehow already know. You carry this image deep within you, though it is buried so profoundly that you cannot clearly distinguish it. When you meet a man or a woman, there are times when you say to yourself, “This is it, I’ve found them!” — as if a sudden fusion had taken place between that person and the image you carry within. Your life is transformed, and you do everything to reunite with them. Each time you see them, when you speak to them, everything becomes wonderful — life flows through you, and you progress in every way. But after a period of intimacy, you discover that this being is not truly the one you were waiting for. You are disappointed, and you leave them… only to begin searching again.

A second time, you believe you have found your soulmate in another person, and the same joy, the same inspiration arises: you love again. But the same story repeats — once again you realize that this is not the being you were seeking. This is true for women as well as for men; no one is an exception.

…Soulmates recognize each other with absolute certainty and can no longer be separated. The human being meets their soulmate twelve times throughout all their earthly incarnations. One day, this meeting of the two principles must take place in truth, because the love between these two principles is stronger than anything.

February 4, 2026 – Of Water and Fire
I am not against love; I simply say that we must learn to find it everywhere. Yes, because love is spread everywhere.

It is like dew. What is dew? It is water vapor dispersed throughout the atmosphere, which becomes visible only when it condenses in the morning on plants. So, dew is nothing other than a kind of condensed love… And the rays of the sun? They are a kind of projected love… Everything in nature is love.

The source, the true source of love, is God. But isn’t there, closer to us, a wonderful image of the divine source? Yes: the sun, which is also such a vast and generous source!
Look—everything in creation benefits from its presence; it is the sun that, through its love, infuses life into the grasses, the plants, the trees. Vegetation is constantly exposed to its light, and it is from them that we, in turn, receive life.

That is why the disciple who wishes to know what true life is, what divine love truly is, goes toward the source—the sun. And by looking at it, by meditating on it, by loving it, by letting it penetrate him more and more deeply, he becomes like a fruit exposed to sunlight: he gathers within himself those particles of vitality and can then share them with others, to bring them life and light. That is true love.

January 26, 2026 – Unrealizable, really?
What is reassuring, all the same, is that we are meeting more and more people who have become wiser — even among scientists, even among materialists. They are starting to be more cautious, more reasonable; they no longer dare to speak with the same certainty and declare, in front of any idea that strays slightly from their knowledge: “Oh, that’s absurd! Oh, that’s impossible, unrealizable!” A few years ago, that was the only word one ever heard from their lips: “Impossible!” Now they are beginning to acknowledge that nature may still hold surprises, even for them, and in order not to appear ridiculous in the eyes of posterity, they say: “Yes, it’s possible… well, let’s wait and see…” At last, they’ve calmed down a little — good for them, there’s hope!

In a few years, they will all adopt our views and speak our language. …Perhaps not all, but many will receive our ideas, chew them over, assimilate them, and spread them. Before long, we’ll see extraordinary changes. Even this idea of universal brotherhood, which had never before crossed humanity’s mind — I heard it presented the other day on television. I didn’t catch who was speaking because I turned it on too late, but I heard someone saying that, given the current state of things, with the proliferation of atomic weapons, the only solution is universal brotherhood — that everyone must unite, that everyone must reach out to one another. When I heard that, I was astonished, delighted: it’s proof that the idea is beginning to take root. Yes, someday, people everywhere will be compelled to cry out for it to come true — because there is no other solution.

January 17, 2026 – A little fable to make you smile and... the joy of giving
A peasant once fell into a well. A man passing by heard cries for help. He approached, saw him, and said, “Give me your hand.” When the peasant heard the word “give,” he immediately lowered the arm he had been extending — he preferred to stay in the well!
The other understood that he was an incorrigible miser who couldn’t bear the idea of giving. So he said, “Take my hand!” Ah, the word take… At once the peasant grasped the man’s hand and was saved. The word take suited him, but give — no!
If only he were the only one! Everywhere they go, human beings seek what there is to take. They study, they work, they marry, they meet — to take. Their minds are always oriented in that direction. That’s why wherever he goes, man no longer radiates light, warmth, or life — because he thinks only of taking.

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, O. C., tome XXV, chap. IV

Giving is not about throwing a few coins, crumbs of bread, old clothes, or any kind of material thing to others. There are so many ways to give! Everything we do can become an opportunity to give — that is, to show greater understanding, to be more selfless in our relationships with others. Kindness, generosity, tolerance, self‑sacrifice — all these qualities are contained in the word give.
And selfishness, jealousy, intolerance — these are faults contained in the word take. To take is what the lower nature does; it is continually kept alert by its need to seize and dominate. And if obstacles arise to block the fulfillment of its desires, it mobilizes all its intellectual, emotional, and volitional resources to reach its goals.
The higher nature, on the other hand, never ceases to give, to spring forth, to radiate. It wants to enlighten, help, and support. It thinks only of sending something of itself outward. It does not try to cling to what it possesses, and it doesn’t grow resentful if someone comes to take it. On the contrary, it rejoices to see that thanks to it others are nourished, refreshed, and illumined. Its fundamental quality is to shine, to radiate like the sun. In fact, all virtues are really nothing other than a form of radiation — a projection of light from the center toward the periphery. Selfish people cannot project light. Light is something that must be released, torn from oneself; it is an expression of impersonality and self‑sacrifice.

January 10, 2026 – Taking, always taking !
There exists a category of people who do not think, do not reflect, do not look deeply into things, and do not seek advice from those who could enlighten them. They prefer to let themselves go, to give in to every instinct, appetite, and desire. And then, everything becomes complicated: they hurt others, fall into anger and passions, commit all sorts of reprehensible acts… and afterward, they regret it, but they no longer know how to get out of it.

The lower nature always creates complications. It’s so true! Just look a little into human affairs and you’ll see: in any field—emotional, social, political—difficulties arise because most people are guided only by personal, egocentric reasoning. Their standard, their rule, their ideal is always to take, never to give. To take, always to take instead of giving!

That is the cause of all anomalies, contradictions, conflicts, revolutions, wars, and the miseries of humanity.

If people were better educated, advised, and enlightened—if not by their divine nature, then at least by conscious and intelligent guides—they would have made real progress, avoided certain mistakes, and would not be in the darkness where we see them: always unhappy, dissatisfied, ready to commit suicide, or else to destroy the entire world just for the pleasure of seeing everything burn or collapse! If human beings would finally listen—either to those advisers or to their higher nature—the face of the world would be transformed.

January 1, 2026 – For the New Year
It’s up to you to make your life happy, rich, and fulfilling. But to do that, you have to learn to open up—to become more generous on the inside.
Why hold back so much? People are always waiting for others to make the first move, to offer a kind touch or a smile. But no—don’t wait anymore.
It’s up to you to be the first to project more and more light and love, to fill the atmosphere around you with your emanations. When you do, even the stones along your path will seem to stir, and everyone who comes near you will feel an unfamiliar vibration awaken within them.
The human being is capable of animating and spiritualizing matter—not only the matter of their own cells but also all of nature around them, even stones. To do this, one must not wait for everything to come from others but learn to draw out and release from the heart and soul particles of light and love.

By founding the esoteric school of the “White Brotherhood” in Bulgaria at the beginning of the 20th century, Master Peter Deunov chose a symbolic design as its emblem :

This double symbol conveys a message for the present time. It calls us to a twofold realization.

What does the anchor represent amid the storms humanity faces today? In the midst of countless conflicts of opinion, conviction, and passion that pull at human conscience, the anchor symbolizes stability, solidity, strength of soul, fearlessness, and the invincible hope that a disciple draws from meditation on the great eternal truths.

At the center of the picture, two wide-open hands pour forth a gentle stream of water in abundance. This represents the work of our spiritual self. This higher self knows how to unite opposites — intelligence and heart, right and left, masculine and feminine — and thus it sets the water flowing… the life-giving water that comes from above, that marvelous current of harmony and peace.

To remain steadfastly strong in order to give, to share, to enliven, to bring joy — this is the ideal offered to us by this symbolic image.

Whatever events may unfold in the world.
