Universal Brotherhood, the foundation of a true and lasting peace

Humans have not yet truly solved the problems of collective life. Outwardly, they have formed nations and organized societies whose members support one another, where everyone serves everyone else and can benefit from everything; inwardly, however, they remain isolated, aggressive, and hostile toward one another. All the progress they have managed to achieve in material and practical life, in organization and technology, they have not succeeded in applying to their inner lives. That is why, despite all this progress, humanity still suffers from the same afflictions: wars, poverty, famine, and oppression. True improvements can only occur through a profound change in mindset. It is psychologically and spiritually that humans must feel connected in order to form the only true society: an inner Universal Brotherhood. When each individual strives to attain a higher consciousness of unity, then societies, peoples, and nations will begin to live in peace and freedom.

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov – Thought for March 14, 2004
When I say ‘Universal White Brotherhood,’
I mean all those who work for the light,
whatever spiritual movement they belong to.
All those who work for the good
are part of the Universal White Brotherhood.
